Jeanetta Hawkins is the proud Founder, President and CEO of Personal Touches by Jeanetta, Inc., a Christian, family-owned Special Events Design, Production and Event Rental Company for over 35 years. She decorated historical events such as: The Grand Opening for all the MetroLink Transit Stations, All of the Target Store Grand Openings, the Kickoff Rally for the St. Louis Rams, dropped 6,000 balloons and confetti for President George W. Busch, decorated the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation’s dedication, provided furniture and décor for the National Urban League Convention and so much more. Her motto is, “We Decorate and You Celebrate!”

Her company has been recognized for its Steller design décor and philanthropy by publications and organizations such as the St. Louis Business Journal, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch newspaper, The St. Louis American Newspaper, St. Louis Minority Business Council, and The Tom Joyner Morning Show. She has received numerous Image Awards, Top 25 Business Awards, NAWBO Awards, The Wall of Fame Awards and The Chrysler Image Award.

Thirty-five years ago Jeanetta wanted to create a legacy for her children and grandchildren so she did what came natural to her…….DESIGN!!! Because she was a high school recruiter and a sales rep, she used those skills and relationships to work with the high schools on their prom decoration. Over time her decorating company blossomed into a full blown business decorating over 12 schools each prom season. It quickly expanded to their homecoming celebrations, school dances, flowers for the King and Queen Court, etc. Then one day the magic happened. A corporate event planner from the Xerox Corporation saw her work and was impressed. She soon found herself on the 20th floor sitting in the office of Fleishman Hilliard, third largest marketing firm in the world, planning the grand opening for several MetroLink Stations and the kickoff Rally for the Rams. The rest is history.

When Jeanetta isn’t painting the town beautiful, which is rare, she is busy serving families at the Youth and Family Center where she has served on the board for many years. Dreams of owning her own State of the Arts Facility is coming soon and she is looking forward to transitioning to more philanthropy.
